Have You Ever Heard The Term Blue Ice ? Is it the purest form of water?
You surely must have read that rainwater is the purest form of natural water but today you are going to know about blue ice which is another form of water present in the nature.

Blue ice is actually what you would find in glacier areas. It is the compressed part of the glaciers. The air bubbles inside this compressed structure actually get pressurized and along with some quantity of water make it appear bluish in color. This increases the structure of ice crystals.Due to this effect a large portion of glaciers look bluish .Another major phenomenon that contributes to this effect is actually the property of water to absorb light of all wavelength and scatter the blue light.Blue ice can be majorly  seen in the areas of Antarctica.

Well some might question the fact that is really the purest form of water or does is not contain any impurities? There is actually no direct answer to this question,as some samples did not even contain any form of living particulate matter inside them, whereas if you check out the latest modern samples of this era then you might find some traces of dust, smoke, etc in them.It might not be the purest form of water ,yet it is a very cool natural phenomenon for sure!
